Why is PMO running the Solve it Crowdsourcing Platform?

With the rapidly changing development climate, traditional modes of development are no longer succeeding to create a sustainable impact under the conditions of occupation and a protracted conflict and crisis. As per national commitments to the SDGs and in line with the National Policy Agenda, the challenges will focus on key areas around SDGs in Palestine. This initiative provides an opportunity to position the Palestinian government in innovative public engagement to strengthen awareness, implementation and acceleration of the SDGs. PMO is looking for concrete solutions to the State of Palestine’s ongoing development challenges. A key principle of this approach is to foster locally-developed solutions to make use of local knowledge and creativity based on theoretical, empirical and practical insights from local innovation.
