The idea is to establish commercial farms for the panicum plant, which, after drying, is used as an alternative animal fodder that tolerates salt water in its cultivation. This new food substitute has proven effective and is a good and cheaper alternative to forage and green feeds available year-round. Team consists of 3 members that seem to have done small experiments to cultivate panicum before.

The idea is to create a smart citrus farming system. This is done through a fully integrated system that combines a field sheltered network with a climate change humidifier and a solar water pumping system. The proposed greenhouse planting of citrus is effective during hot summers and cold winters. The idea was suggested by a young, diverse team of three people who have already tested some of these technologies in the pilot phases.

It is a water treatment system that drastically reduces chemicals, nitrates and the amounts of salt in the water used in agriculture. The system was proposed by a qualified team of professors and practitioners, and it has already won awards and appeared in scientific journals.

The idea is to introduce plant tissue culture in Palestine, by turning the candidate's scientific work into practice. Plant tissue culture was tested at An-Najah University by the candidate, and it aims to bring it to the field.

A project to purify water from nitrates and salts in an environmentally friendly way, free from any chemical additives, by using products from nature.
What problem or need does your idea seek to solve for your customer?
• The high percentage of nitrates in the water, especially the groundwater (the problem of high nitrates causes cancerous diseases and kidney and respiratory problems) Keep the same amount of water before and after treatment (reduce waste)
• Providing portable water filters for crisis and disaster areas that suffer from water crises and large thirds
• Protect the environment from any collateral damage during the treatment process
• Utilizing processing wastes in the production of feed and fertilizer for agriculture

It is a promising Palestinian company led by two young women who have already tested their product. The team aspires to create a complete production line for energy mix of organic fertilizers with bacteria that provides plants with more growth, endurance and most importantly, chemical fertilizer replacement. The desired result is an increase in productivity per dunum, provision of organic and healthy products, and environmentally friendly use that protects natural resources.

The idea is to develop an online platform to connect farmers with consumers. This platform will contact farmers and allow them to market their agricultural products on the platform, while the company’s team will do all necessary marketing and promotion operations including taking pictures of the products.

An emerging entrepreneurial company that won the best entrepreneurial idea award and was incubated from the Business and Technology Incubator of the Islamic University - Gaza. It works on the dates value chain by converting date seeds and dates into caffeine-free coffee, as well as producing many different types of coffee, and is one of the pioneers in adding flavors to coffee, as well as working on forming dates and producing chocolate. The idea has won many different awards and is growing.

The idea is to create an integrated system for managing and marketing livestock farms, in addition to creating a platform for managing investments in the livestock sector. The team of two young entrepreneurs are working on the idea but they don't have any prototype yet. The support required is the development of the electronic system as well as the work of a supply chain with small producers.

Reuse of sewage sludge from stone cutting to produce calcium nitrate as an inorganic fertilizer for agricultural use: the wastewater from sewage sludge will be converted into fertilizer that can be used to improve agriculture in Palestine, thus getting rid of harmful substances and providing nutrients to plants that will produce a good return. It is good to mention that these fertilizers are not allowed to be imported into Palestine by Israel, so this will provide an alternative to locally producing these fertilizers. The team, made up of researchers and chemists, is still in the study stage and needs more tests before moving on to the next stage.

TechnoPlant for modern agricultural technology contributes by using modern techniques to increase the self-sufficiency of the Palestinian market and reduce the import of plants from abroad and others, through first: the establishment of a plant tissue culture laboratory, which is considered as a basic nucleus for the multiplication of many seedlings of agricultural crops of economic viability, such as, neem plant as a biocide and stevia plant, to obtain a large number of production within a limited period of time compared to traditional methods without being restricted to a specific agricultural season. The extraction unit for the production of a liquid sugar substitute from the stevia plant is free of calories and safe for diabetics, dieters and those interested in health of all ages, and is licensed by the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy. The team consists of a biotechnologist (an expert in tissue transplantation) and a dietitian, both of whom have experience in business administration. Project achievements 1- Stevia Sweetener, liquid stevia, sugar substitute, licensed by the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy, and distributed at more than 42 points of sale from pharmacies, malls, sports and nutrition centers. 2- Starting the establishment of tissue culture nuclei to propagate economically feasible plants such as neem, stevia and ornamental plants.

The idea is to create an online platform and use social media to connect farmers, youth and landowners to cultivate land and increase employment opportunities in agriculture. The idea is still new and has not been tested, but it has the potential to take advantage of unused fertile land. The team consists of graduates in computer engineering, software developers, and marketing experts.

Developing fungicides from bavaria, mitarism, basilomycetes and trichoderma to combat the most dangerous plant diseases (red palm, nematodes and fusarium) a promising vision for the agricultural and industrial sector is vital for biological control in Palestine: The solution proposes the production of safe biological pesticides as an alternative to the currently used chemical pesticides that negatively affect the environment and human health. The team is working on developing biocides by selecting different fungal strains isolated from soil in Gaza. The team consists of biotechnologists.

Subscription-based organic food delivery system: The solution proposes to create a more efficient and flexible supply chain by enabling urban consumers to order and receive high quality, sustainable organic agricultural products including vegetables, leaves and eggs produced with the open system Free Range Farming. The solution aims to reduce the purchase price to the consumer and increase the selling price to the farmer by skipping the large number of stages in which agricultural products go through to reach the final consumer. Two types of subscriptions will be offered: 1) Continuous subscription with fixed order and monthly fee; 2) Dynamic subscription with the ability to customize orders. A market survey was conducted to measure the interest of potential users, and work is underway to develop a mobile application. The team consists of an industrial engineer and a logistics company.

Agri Care Solutions - plant disease detection, awareness, treatment and marketing: the solution is a mobile application that provides diagnosis of pathological plants, crops and trees by taking a picture with a smartphone. The app then provides recommended treatments and makes periodic recommendations on crop / plant health. Among other services through the application: connecting Palestinian farmers directly with importers from outside the country to enhance foreign market investments. At this point, solution owners are experimenting with different models and Artifical Intelligence techniques to build a more accurate classification but need the support of additional programmers. The team is currently comprised of IT professionals / back-end programmers and is looking to expand.

The vermicompost fertilizer project, where the project is based on the recycling of organic waste in a safe biological way and the production of bio-organic fertilizer free of pathogens.

Converting palm waste into cartons - producing high-quality cardboard from palm waste, which would provide many job opportunities for young people in the field of collection, processing, distribution, and providing cartons to be used in the process of packaging agricultural products. Dates packaging field - the team consists of agricultural engineers and date palm plantation supervisors who have long experience in date palm cultivation. The action plan has been developed and needs support and networking in the implementation and expansion phase.

Producing industrial soil from agricultural waste - manufacturing soil from agricultural waste from wood, weeds and palm stems as an alternative to importing industrial soil from Israel, thus reducing the cost to farmers in the Gaza Strip and producing high-quality industrial soil, which reduces the problems that farmers face from using imported industrial soil. This solution will secure job opportunities for young people in the field of collecting waste from farmers and then processing, packaging and marketing. The solution owner has experience in agricultural work and owns a plot of land allocated for the project and aspires to form an integrated work team to expand the scope of the idea’s implementation.

The company is developing a product that enhances automation in agriculture using the electronic cloud, which helps farmers to improve product quality, save resources, thus increase its competition in the market. The device is linked to a web page and smart phone application, which allows farmers to access all the information and readings issued by the sensors in their land from anywhere- improving timely decision-making. Some devices were installed as part of the solution experience and the results show promise in saving irrigation water and in facilitating the lives of farmers by monitoring their agricultural systems remotely. The expansion plan includes applying the control system to other agricultural varieties. The work team consists of software engineers from Ramallah Governorate, and the idea has been incubated by the Supreme Council for Creativity and Excellence.

Green leaves company provides paper products from farms directly to homes, sterilized and wrapped. The series of papers are chosen to deal with the surplus of the market’s need of specific varieties, through understanding the market’s demand and direct coordination between the Green Paper Company. This is expected to direct farmers to cultivate the brands that they do not trade and that the consumer obtains from the Israeli or foreign markets. The work of the company, which is still within the city of Ramallah, will be expanded by increasing the engagement of the youth group in the company and the affiliated farms, starting from the farm to the company’s factory in which sorting, sterilization and inspection are carried out, and then packaging, distribution and sale. In terms of distribution, the work will be expanded to include restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, hospitals, schools and kindergartens, as well as by increasing the lands that are being cultivated (currently 120 dunums).
