Dates packaging field - the team consists of agricultural engineers and date palm plantation supervisors who have long experience in date palm cultivation. The action plan has been developed and needs support and networking in the implementation and expansion phase.
Producing industrial soil from agricultural waste - manufacturing soil from agricultural waste from wood, weeds and palm stems as an alternative to importing industrial soil from Israel, thus reducing the cost to farmers in the Gaza Strip and producing high-quality industrial soil, which reduces the problems that farmers face from using imported industrial soil. This solution will secure job opportunities for young people in the field of collecting waste from farmers and then processing, packaging and marketing. The solution owner has experience in agricultural work and owns a plot of land allocated for the project and aspires to form an integrated work team to expand the scope of the idea’s implementation.
The company is developing a product that enhances automation in agriculture using the electronic cloud, which helps farmers to improve product quality, save resources, thus increase its competition in the market. The device is linked to a web page and smart phone application, which allows farmers to access all the information and readings issued by the sensors in their land from anywhere- improving timely decision-making. Some devices were installed as part of the solution experience and the results show promise in saving irrigation water and in facilitating the lives of farmers by monitoring their agricultural systems remotely. The expansion plan includes applying the control system to other agricultural varieties. The work team consists of software engineers from Ramallah Governorate, and the idea has been incubated by the Supreme Council for Creativity and Excellence.
Green leaves company provides paper products from farms directly to homes, sterilized and wrapped. The series of papers are chosen to deal with the surplus of the market’s need of specific varieties, through understanding the market’s demand and direct coordination between the Green Paper Company. This is expected to direct farmers to cultivate the brands that they do not trade and that the consumer obtains from the Israeli or foreign markets. The work of the company, which is still within the city of Ramallah, will be expanded by increasing the engagement of the youth group in the company and the affiliated farms, starting from the farm to the company’s factory in which sorting, sterilization and inspection are carried out, and then packaging, distribution and sale. In terms of distribution, the work will be expanded to include restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, hospitals, schools and kindergartens, as well as by increasing the lands that are being cultivated (currently 120 dunums).
